Yellow Colored Diamonds starting from Cape colors (4 stones on the left are from the U-V through X-Y-Z range) continuing to Fancy Light Yellow, Fancy Yellow, Fancy Intense Yellow, Fancy Vivid Yellow and Fancy Deep YellowĮach different intensity grade of pink diamonds. Interestingly enough, depending on the color intensity, many yellow diamonds are less expensive than their colorless counterparts. As a result to the abundance of Yellow diamonds found, they are a lot less expensive per carat than Pink stones. Without any doubt, both Yellow diamonds and Pink diamonds have the highest market demand, even though there is a large price difference between the two. The convenient size and proven increase of value in such a short period of time answers the initial question with this statement: fancy color diamonds are the most concentrated form of wealth on the planet. Their rarity and beauty are so great that every diamond investor and dealer is constantly in search of these rare beauties. However, there is no denying the treasure that color diamonds hold. Colorless and color diamond are some of Nature’s most beautiful gifts. Among the ten most expensive diamonds ever sold at auction, only three of them were colorless and the remainders were fancy color diamonds. If the diamond possesses a rare and strong color, it can be a very significantly more valuable then colorless diamonds. Unlike colorless diamonds, color diamonds do not need to be of any specific size or quality in order to be extremely valuable. The most popular colored diamonds, Yellow, Blue, Pink, and Red Even still, Fancy Color Diamonds only represent less than 0.1% of all colorless diamonds produced each year! However, as a result of 9 different intensity levels, 90 secondary hues, over 230 color combinations, and the various options of sizes, clarity, and cut – the different types of colored diamonds available are endless. There are only 12 different colored diamonds. However, of diamonds already so scarce, there are a few colors which are so rarely found that the singular stones in the market are highly sought after by collectors and diamond enthusiasts. There are a small number of diamond mines throughout the world that are known for the unique colors they manage to produce. The Colour Charts can be downloaded for free.Aside from exquisite beauty, what makes Fancy Color Diamonds so incredibly unique is how rare these precious gems actually are. We can help you along way to adjust the colour until you achieve your perfect tint. For the 8 stations I listen to, this took about 5 minutes, mostly because I made mistakes, but also because the interface is not the easiest to use. Why doesn’t the PC? Next up, I decided to set a bunch of presets. Looking at the Mac GUI in the manual, it looks like they have tic marks and time indicators. So if you want to go back 10 minutes, you have to guess at how far that is on the slider bar. Second, on the GUI front, the time shifting slider doesn’t tell you how far back you’ve gone when moving the slider. It’s interesting to note that when you exit the preferences screen, the audio buffer resets. It’s probably just my personal preference, but I like the Tivo model of Time Shifting better. It’s a bit disconcerting to rewind through All Things Considered and suddenly hear Nickel Back. With the radioSHARK, the buffer keeps going, even through station switches. First, on the Tivo, if you switch channels, the buffer resets itself. I assume it has to do with the buffering and playback, but on a P4-2.8 HT box with SATA drives, this sound glitch is just absurd. It was also annoying because when TimeShifting was on, the audio stutter became more pronounced. A quick trip to the preferences (after figuring out how to get to it), I enabled TimeShifting and hit pause again. It turns out that the PC (and maybe Mac) version has TimeShifting disabled by default. I pressed the button again and still nothing. I pressed the pause button and waited for the audio to stop. That brought up a sub-window to the GUI that had a pause button, fast forward and rewind arrows, and two additional buttons that I later decided were ‘skip to beginning’ and ‘skip to end’ (which weren’t documented). On the radioSHARK GUI, there was a button labeled TS, which I correctly assumed meant TimeShift and pressed. It’s a brilliant concept that I picture being integrated into the majority of consumer electronics in the future. For those not familiar with the concept, ReplayTV and Tivo pioneered the idea of allowing their users pause, rewind, and when applicable, fast-forward by displaying saved video instead of the live feed. Of course, the first thing I had to do was TimeShift. The radioSHARK worked, just not that well. I noticed that my entire system reset when I tried to look at the size of audio buffer. I noticed the three crashes that the app had in the first four hours. Audio seemed to be poppy, interrupted with just barely perceptible stutters in audio that would come and go. Then I started to notice the radioSHARKs flaws. I laughed as All Things Considered talked about the presidential election. I giggled like a schoolgirl when I discovered the ability to time-shift live audio almost like my Tivo. I was enthralled by the scheduler, setting up shows to record. I said I wanted to love the radioSHARK, and at first I did. I was impressed how easy it was because Griffin Technology is primarily a Mac company and I was testing on a Windows XP box. Let’s just say I plug it into my PC, dropped in the CD, and 5 minutes later, I was listening to the local NPR station through my computer speakers in all its poppy glory. A quick trip to the Apple store and I had this little fin-shaped wonder. So when I heard about the radioSHARK I was excited. I’m a big fan of radio and I’ve been disappointed that it took so long for a company to develop and AM/FM turner for the PC. I wanted to love the radioSHARK from Griffin Technology, I really did. Instead of having ten or so actions displayed there, customization enables you to display only those actions that you want in the menu. What I like about this in particular is that you can select the actions that you want in the Explorer context menu. We talked about associating certain archive file types with the program already you can integrate it in Windows Explorer using various extraction and compression options to run these actions directly from the default file browser. Open the Settings with a tap on F5 or by selecting Options > Settings from the menu. Configuring Bandizipīandizip is highly configurable. The application supports several extraction options, for example, to extract to the current directory or an "archive-name" directory, or to a directory that archives were previously extracted to. A click on compressed sorts by the largest compressed file while a click on modified by file modification date. You can use the sidebar to navigate between folders quickly and run any file directly using the interface.Ī click on a column sorts the archive data based on the selection. The first pane displays all folders of the archive and the main pane the folders and files of the selected level. CBR files are renamed zip files for instance, and you may add support for them in the Bandizip options so that they are opened with the program.īandizip displays archives in two panes. Tip: you can add unsupported archive file types to Bandizip if they use a supported format. You can change that however so that the archive gets extracted automatically for instance instead. The default action is to open Bandizip to display the content of the archive. One interesting feature of the application is the ability to change what happens when you double-click archives. It also allows you to double-click the archive to run an action configured in Bandizip on it. Here you can associate archive file formats to open with the application so that archive formats open in Bandizip when you click on them on the Windows machine.ĭoing so will replace the icon of associated archives with the Bandizip icon. If you install the program on Windows, the file association settings page is opened right afterward. The application is available as a portable version or setup for Windows as well as a (paid) version for Apple's Macintosh system. The program supports 37 different file formats at the time of writing including all major archive file formats but also disc image formats such as ISO or IMG. Other features - Unicode and long path support is a must, as are options to customize the context menu and other program features such as search in archive functionality.īandizip ticks all those boxes.Convenience - Options to extract one or multiple archives from Windows Explorer and to open extracted folders after extraction.Format compatibility - The program needs to support all major archive formats including zip, 7z, rar (including rar5), gz, ace, tar and others in terms of extraction, and major formats when it comes to archive creation.Bandizip reviewīandizip support all the features that I require from a file archiver what those are? Glad you asked. It is a free program for Windows that supports all major and many minor archive formats and comes with impressive functionality. While those programs are all great and may be your top choice when it comes to the unpacking of archives on your devices, I discovered a program back that ticks all the right boxes for me. I have used different file archiving programs over the years on Windows including popular commercial programs such as WinRar or WinZip as well as a number of free applications such as Extract Now or 7-Zip. But because they’re only used in specific unlocks, the random selection of parts you come across gives you a big headstart for a random selection of upgrades. Finding the part itself is much, much faster. Every upgrade is built from just 2 or 3 specific parts, and materials are only useful in that you can spend hundreds of them to craft a part you need to unlock something. While you’re mostly finding ‘materials’, in their hundreds, each ship also has a single special ‘part’.They’re also persistent between lives, so you’re always ‘spending’ temporary resources – ammo and your life – to gain permanent ones – another good feeling. That makes it feel good to find them even before you have enough to unlock anything at all. This gets around the ‘limited loot pool’ problem in the early game, because materials are inherently valuable and what they might ultimately get you is unknown and unlimited. You never actually find weapons or gadgets on the ships you board, only crafting materials.Unlike Heat Sig, weapons you haven’t unlocked yet are completely unavailable to you, but it avoids most of the problems I feared in a few ways: Progression in Void Bastards is one big screen of unlocks and upgrades, which you earn by acquiring particular crafting ingredients then choosing which to spend them on. And potentially missing the game’s best gadgets if we fail to describe/present them to you in a way that fully conveys their value – which we would.Having no Choice Glimpses to know if an item is worth working towards.Having a limited pool of loot for hours. I considered the alternative, of course: holding these items back entirely until they’re unlocked. So the shop-unlock reward was never as strong an incentive as I’d like. I’m very happy with the items themselves, and how they support new playstyles, but you can find any and all of them from the start, as random loot. In Heat Sig, doing missions gradually lets you ‘liberate’ space stations, and liberating stations permanently unlocks new items in the shops. In a roguelike context, I’m using ‘progression’ to mean anything persistent you unlock or earn – how the outcome of one life can potentially affect those that come after. Starting with this because I think VB absolutely aced it and HS did not. I designed a top-down roguelike about boarding randomly generated spaceships, so it’s interesting to see how the two games tackled the same issues differently, and how well their solutions worked out! I picked three: Void Bastards is a roguelike first-person shooter about boarding randomly generated spaceships. What’s there all still makes sense to me though, so I’m just gonna make it about the 3 things I did cover and throw it out there: Note: this was written around the time Void Bastards was released, but languished in my Drafts for years because I’d planned to make it longer. Void Bastards Vs Heat Signature: A Completely Objective Analysis Hold the chord and play one string at a time adjust each finger as you go till each string is clear and not buzzing or dull. You need just enough for each note/string to sound clearly and no more. *there are a multitude of "correct" ways and we love to argue about them ) Experiment and find the way that works for you. Thumb position is important - the "officially correct"* way is tip of the thumb in the middle of the neck, but that never worked for me and I tend to use the meatier flat of the thumb. It's probably the hardest chord you'll ever have to learn (not that other chords aren't challenging - they just won't feel like anywhere as big an obstacle by the time you get to them). The full barre F is the bane of every new guitarist and frequently the point where they give up. Apologies for the wall of text but these are things I do on a daily basis, hope it helps. All this stuff should already give you a bunch of things to try and keep you busy. Think of melodies in your head and bring them to life as the song plays or you can try to play the melody of the song itself (might be better to find the instrumental version of that song). If you end up learning a song and it starts in F, try playing the song on some speakers and try soloing using the F minor pentatonic scale or major scale. Since F is your demon, learn it for that note. Learn the minor pentatonic scale and major scale of whatever. Find the root note first, then all you need to find out is how to play that chord which you can just google search. Also try listening to songs you like and figure out what the chords are. When you find a chord shape, keep your pointer or thumb on the root note but move your other fingers around and experiment with making the chord sound a certain way or in a way that sounds cool to you. Try to find as many ways as possible to do it. Next thing I recommend as someone else kind of mentioned here is finding where else on the fretboard can you play an F chord. If you can hold the barre and every note sounds clean consistently, you're golden. Hold the barre F and pick every note, if a certain note doesn't sound good (buzzing, dead note) then fix that finger or fingers accordingly. If a G barre chord is easier for you to hold and you can play it pretty decent (no buzzing notes and sounds clean) hold that same position and move it down two frets for the barre F. I found that if I put the mix rate to 30, I get somewhat more grass. I know this problem, lets see if i can help you with what i remember.įirst thing to do would be to set your "grass per patch" to 16 or 32, the higher this value the more likely you get little hiccups while movement, this is not affecting the framerate overall but just gives loading spikes, there is not much that you can do about this as its again something that unity just does not handle very well to say it in a friendly way. The next thing is to crank up your grass resolution much higher than you have it. i am referring to the 2 values at the top which say 128 and 8 at your screenshot. Then if this is still not enough density(most likely the case) you have to use more grass textures, which will give you double density with every grasstexture you add, the benefit is also that this way your grass can have more variation, the downside and that is with grass on unity terrain in general that it affects performance really badly so try to use as little grass as possible, for example its a good idea to match the bottom side of your grass textures with the color of your terrain grass textures. Another thing i noticed lately its also good to make your grass blads not start all at the same height on your grass textures, this have to be done carfully as if you put some grass blades too high above the ground they will appear floating, but if done right it will break the flat apearance of the grass billboards/planes a little bit. also to get more visual denisity its best to make the grass a bit higher than what would be realistic but dont overdo it. I am not sure how well Toms VolumeGrass performs on huge terrains but its a good way to get a nice basic density and then use unity grass only for accents and extra variation. Look for Volume Grass on the assetstore, its a great asset but i have not tested it on huge terrains yet. Hope this helps, dont forget to show what you achieved to support Nathaniel and Tom and Lars who made the wonderful assets. Good screenshots are always welcome and i am sure they help them a bit with getting more attention for their products. Why is it such a surprise to be for 1 type and against another? This product includes both the table top and the table legs. It's made out of white pine and contains an image in the center along with a carrying handle. It is foldable with four cup holders, four legs, four domino holders, and a storage tray for dominoes. Rivera, J.D.A lovely handcrafted, one of a kind domino table made to order in Puerto Rico by local artisans. 40 various styles. In this last function, the spinner acts as a pivot. Today, the spinner’s use is mostly to protect the face of the domino pieces and table during the shuffle, and to facilitate the shuffling of the pieces. In other words, the purpose was purely mechanical. When dominoes were made of two discrete materials (often ebony and ivory), the spinner was actually a small pin whose purpose was to hold the white ivory face to the dark ebony side of the domino. The “spinner”, the small pin located in the middle of a domino’s dividing bar, is generally made of metal and rounded off so as to avoid scratching the table top. Only the bigger pieces would remain upright without readily falling on the table. For instance, when domino racks are unavailable, players usually stand the pieces in front of them. Most domino players prefer professional, jumbo or tournament sets, because the pieces are easier to handle during shuffle, positioning and playing. Kids, novices to the game, or travelers with limited playing space, commonly use these types of domino sets. It would be rare to find serious domino players playing with a set of mini or small dominoes. Size is important, primarily for handling of the domino pieces. A black domino piece with white dots illustrates the point. There should be a strong contrast in colors between the dots and body of the piece, regardless of the colors used. For instance, a pale-colored piece with a dot of similar color would be hard to see, particularly under artificial lighting. But since colors vary in visibility, domino pieces made of certain colors are hard to see. When it comes to color, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. While traditional pale colors are generally preferred, domino sets in colors such as red, blue and brown now are commonly available. Domino pieces should stand rough handling without losing material integrity or attractiveness, because players sometimes slam pieces on the table as emphasis of a play. Conversely, domino pieces made of synthetic materials are usually less expensive, but they are not as durable and attractive. For instance, domino pieces made of fine ivory, stone or hardwood are both durable and attractive, but they are usually more expensive. The material is important in terms of the attractiveness and durability of the pieces. The following information will help you with the decision. With the many choices available, it is important to choose a domino set that is attractive, durable and practicable. Modern commercial dominoes are usually made of synthetic materials, such as ABS, polystyrene plastics, acrylic, and other resin composites. Earlier domino pieces were mostly made of ivory, animal bones, stone, hardwood, or ceramic clay. In addition, pieces with spinners are easier to shuffle, because the pieces can spin or rotate on the spinners.ĭominoes come in wide variety of materials, colors and sizes. This helps protect the surface of the domino pieces and the table. The spinner, the small brass or aluminum pin in the middle of each piece, prevents the domino pieces from resting flat on the table. These larger pieces are easier to handle, and they can stand at the ends without falling over. Sets with the largest pieces of dominoes are called professional and jumbo, and they measure 1”x2”x3/8” and 1”x2”x1/2”, respectively. Get a set with larger pieces and spinners. The standard domino set for Double Six consists of 28 pieces. |
